LDR Astro 200w FollowspotIn comparison with conventional tungsten‐halogen followspots, the LDR Astro has an LED solid‐state electronic light source, which is more energy efficient and longer lasting than a tungsten‐halogen lamp. The implications of using an LED source are as follows:
The colour temperature of the LED is fixed at a ‘cool’ 5600K, which is becoming more common in TV studio applications and in theatres using colour filters.
Although regular colour filters may be used with an LED source, the non‐continuous spectrum of the LED produces a different effect with many standard colours.
