One of our recent installations consisted of three bespoke DMX lighting bars, manufactured by ourselves, terminating at a lighting desk. In the picture you will see a mixture of Showtec Q4-18 PAR64’s, Showtec PAR64 100 Zoom and ADJ Encore Profile’s to give full colour washes with the ability to shape the light and also have full colour-changing profiles with breakup gobos’.

Both the projector and screen were also part of the install. The screen is fully electrical and can be lowered by remote control. The projector can be used from a point at the back of the room, where the user can connect any HDMI player or laptop directly to show PowerPoint presentations, films, etc. Sound is routed separately to the installed sound system.

Currently this room is a multi-use area, but will eventually be used exclusively as an area for drama. After all, if it isn’t broken, why not use it!

The great thing about all of our installations is that you can stagger the costs over many years by prioritising certain areas of the installation. If you feel the lighting is more important, there is no reason why you can’t install one bar at a time, adding others as you go along for instance. Then in year two you might prioritise sound, year three curtains.
